BIO

I am a journalist, activist and filmmaker by heart. As a graduate in video journalism, I have acquired technical and practical knowledge in filmmaking including storytelling, videographing, editing and writing. I have been using these skills to tell engaging stories about human concerns from all over the world.

For a decade, I've worked for well-known German public broadcasters such as ARD, ZDF, and DW. I've covered stories on the lives of refugees in Jordan's Zaatari Camp, reported on the re-election of Barack Obama in the U.S., and told the stories of Syrians stranded in Turkey. A few years into my career, I started directing award-winning documentaries as DW's web series FOUNDER'S VALLEY. Recently, I joined the ocean conservation organization Sea Shepherd. As a videographer my main objective  is to create engaging videos on their on-sea campaigns to tackle illegal fishing in West Africa.

Being a journalist and filmmaker for years, I've witnessed humanitarian and ecological crises in all corners of the world. This fostered a need to tell the stories of those who work to protect the most vulnerable and also be a part of the change.
